The centralized computer lab is equipped with 18 systems and have the capacity to train about 17 participants simultaneously, catering to both high end and low end user needs interconnected with Local Area Network. Internet connectivity is now available in the computer lab and proposed to upgrade to high speed internet connectivity extending the facility to all administrative offices, lecture halls, conference hall including library. It is also planned to implement the Wireless Internet Facility (Wi-Fi) between the institute and main

 

power house. . Four CD writers (One external and three internal) and a Digital Scanner are also available for duplicating the supplied course material in the form of softcopy in addition to the hardcopy for distribution among the participants and for preparing the teaching aids by scanning the important photographs / images utilized for training the trainees. It is also equipped with a laptop computer facilitating to present presentation outside the Training Institute, VTPS campus by the Institute faculty.
 

Study – Life balance is achieved through our recreational and sporting facilities includes physical fitness centre, outdoor volley ball and shuttle courts, indoor caroms play hall are also available.

The Institute had its humble beginning in 1986 with minimum staff of 10 (ten). Growing by leaps and bounds the Training Institute has become the Central Training Center for the entire APGENCO conducting training in such diverse fields as all branches of

Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Telecom, Civil, I & C, Management, Accountancy, Safety, Health & Nutrition) and thereby catering the needs of all cadres of employees of APGENCO.

Training Institute, VTPS Infrastructure and facilities – Creating a learning Ambience:
A learning community requires a learning ambience. With an impressive infrastructure, the Institute of capable of conducting upto four programmes simultaneously on any day.

All the lecture rooms, conference hall and computer lab are equipped with state of art teaching aids and complemented with centralized air conditioning facility and a water purifier for purifying the drinking water to cater the needs of visitors, participants and other officials.

Hospital
A 30 bed hospital is also associated with the Institute to cater the medical needs to the trainees and faculty apart from the employees of main power house.
