Teaching Aids
The Institute is well equipped with a large number of Audio-visual equipment's for better training to the trainees. It consists of two Photocopier machines with sorter, continuous enlargement and reduction facility, one number mimeo equipment for capturing the matter written on the white board during the lecture session to the computer that can be later distributed among the participants, One number each laminating and binding machine for laminating the course completion certificate issued at the end of the course and binding the course material to be supplied to the participants during the training. The Institute also has two number LCD Projectors for effective projection of presentation during the lecture session in an effective and elaborative manner. It is also equipped with slide projectors and Over Head Projectors for displaying the slides of various subjects during the lecture / presentation session as a part of the training programme. In addition to the above, it is equipped with Public Address System, Collar Mikes with amplifiers area also available for making the presentation audible to each and every participant participating the lecture session / seminar / workshop / training programme. The Institute is also having video cassettes on Fire safety, Safety Valves, Fans, Construction details of Stage – 2 and Stage – 3 of VTPS. The slides of 210 MW Boiler in 51 lessons supplied by M/s BHEL is also available at Training Institute, VTPS which are being used as one of the teaching aid in training the newly recruited Assistant Engineers / Sub-Engineers.
